Privacy policy

What we collect when you use this website, why we collect it and the choices you have.

Last updated Indian law and procedure only

Effective 8 October 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

NRI Legal Support ("we", "us") operates nrilegalsupport.com from SCO-437, 4th Floor, Medallion 68, Sector 68, Mohali, Punjab 160062, India. For any privacy question or request write to info@nrilegalsupport.com.

What we collect

  • Details you give us through the enquiry form, email, phone or WhatsApp: name, email address, phone number, country of residence, the location and nature of your legal matter, and any documents you choose to send.
  • Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the referring site, through server logs and, where enabled, analytics cookies.
  • Verification data: the enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions, which involves Google processing device and usage signals under its own privacy policy and terms.

Why we use it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we can act, run a conflict check, provide legal services if you engage us, meet legal and professional obligations, and keep the website secure. We process enquiry data on the basis of the consent you give when submitting the form; you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. It is disclosed only to our own advocates and staff, to service providers who host our email, database and forms under confidentiality obligations, to associate advocates or experts engaged on your matter with your knowledge, and to courts or authorities where the law requires.

Storage, transfers and retention

Enquiry data is stored on servers in India and in a spreadsheet service operated by Google. Because you are writing to us from outside India, your data necessarily travels to India. Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within twenty-four months. Client files are kept for the period required by professional and limitation rules, usually eight years after a matter closes.

Cookies and analytics

The site works without cookies. Where analytics or advertising tags are active, they set cookies to measure visits and conversions. You can block these in your browser without affecting your use of the site.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, completed, updated or erased, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise these rights. If you live in the EU, UK or another jurisdiction with data protection law, you may have additional rights there. We respond to requests within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to those who need it, and communications between you and our advocates are protected by the professional duty of confidentiality. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending passwords or banking credentials.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
