-
We act, you stay informed
A power of attorney is put in place if needed. After every filing and hearing you get the order and a short note on next steps.
NRI legal services by country
The Indian law is the same for everyone. What changes with your country is how documents are attested, how tax treaties apply and how money moves. Pick your country for the specifics.
Built for clients who cannot be in the room
Most problems NRIs face in India are made worse by delay: a limitation period that quietly expires, a revenue entry nobody challenged, an occupier who has been left alone too long. Our work is organised around removing the reasons for that delay.
- One point of contact who knows your file and answers on WhatsApp and email.
- Country-specific checklists for consulate attestation or apostille, so documents are accepted the first time.
- Certified copies and searches obtained by our team at Sub-Registrar, revenue and court offices.
- Clear money trail on every sale so proceeds can be repatriated lawfully.
- Honest assessments, including when a case is weak or settlement is the better course.

Can an NRI handle a legal matter in India without travelling?
In most cases, yes. You authorise a relative or advocate through a power of attorney attested at the Indian mission or apostilled where you live. Documents are signed by the attorney holder, hearings are attended by your advocate and your own evidence, where needed, is recorded by video link.
Which law applies to property and family matters of NRIs in India?
Indian law. Immovable property in India is governed by Indian law and decided by Indian courts wherever the owner lives. Family matters can involve both countries, and the question is usually which court has jurisdiction and whether its order will be recognised in the other.
Do you advise on the law of the country I live in?
No. We advise and represent only on Indian law and before Indian courts and authorities. Where a matter also needs advice abroad, we work alongside the lawyer you appoint there.
How do consultations work across time zones?
You send the facts and documents through the enquiry form or WhatsApp. An advocate reviews them and a video or phone consultation is fixed at a time that suits your time zone, including early mornings and late evenings India time.
How are fees charged?
The first review of your papers is free. After that you receive a written fee proposal for the specific work, usually a fixed fee per stage for drafting, filing and appearances, so you know the cost before you instruct us.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Advocates in India are bound by a statutory duty of confidentiality towards those who consult them. Your documents are used only to advise you and are not shared for marketing. See our privacy policy.
